Sunday afternoon January 16th 2005 at four o’clock the painter and collector Dia Azzawi from London will open the exhibition ‘Iraq: still going strong’ in the new Gallery Amber, Laurierstraat 71 Ansterdam. As curator the painter Ali Talib, until 1990 head of the graphic department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, currently living in The Hague, chose eight painters, who didn’t leave their country in the nineties. 27 Works are shown. The show will finish February 27th . From March 6 until April 3 it will be continued in Gallery Amber in Leiden.

Sunday afternoon January 11th 2004, Her Excellency Mrs. Dinh Huyen, Ambassador of the Republic of Vietnam, will open the exhibition 'Vietnam Today' at Galerie Amber for invitees; an exhibition of one hundred modern artworks by ten painters from Vietnam. Half of these paintings will be shown at Galerie Amber, the other half at the nearby Art Callery Caro. Both galleries invite you to come and have a preview from December 20th 2003.
